Kathmandu — The government has appointed Additional Inspector General (AIG) Chandrakuber Khapung as the new Inspector General of Police (IGP).
The decision was made at a Cabinet meeting held at Baluwatar on Friday.
The current IGP, Deepak Thapa, is set to retire on Bhadra 17. Khapung has been appointed as the 32nd Inspector General of Nepal Police, with his tenure effective from Bhadra 19.
