Kathmandu - Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the government has arranged salaries of up to NPR 200,000 for skilled personnel working in the information technology (IT) sector.
Posting on social media on Thursday, he said that this will help control the tendency to delay work, take bribes and commissions while expanding government services online, and he also expressed confidence that it will prevent the out-migration of skilled IT manpower.
He wrote: “The government has arranged salaries of up to NPR 200,000 for skilled personnel working in the information technology (IT) sector. This will help control the tendencies of delaying work and taking bribes and commissions while expanding government services online, and it will prevent the out-migration of skilled IT manpower. This will also make cost estimates for software system development more realistic. This is a welcome step for our workforce who have studied IT.”
