Kathmandu — Russia claimed on Sunday that its forces had attacked Ukrainian missile depots.

According to a report from the Russian Ministry of Defense, within the past 24 hours, Russian forces took control of a settlement in the Dnipropetrovsk region and continued strikes in several directions, targeting Ukrainian missile depots, drone production and storage facilities, temporary deployment points, and other locations.

Russian air defense systems reportedly intercepted three multiple rocket launcher rounds and shot down 172 drones.

Meanwhile, Ukraine reported carrying out offensive operations against Russian refineries and ports. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that by Sunday afternoon, 85 clashes had occurred along the front line, 31 of them in Pokrovsk.

On Sunday morning, in a coordinated operation with the Main Intelligence Directorate under the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, Ukrainian forces struck an oil refinery in Russia’s Samara region. The extent of the damage is still being assessed.

Also on Sunday, the governor of Russia’s northwestern Leningrad region confirmed a fire at the Ust-Luga port following a drone attack. Ten drones were destroyed over the port in the morning, but debris from downed drones caused a fire at one of the docks. The fire has since been extinguished, and according to initial reports, there were no casualties.

Ukrainian forces later confirmed that they had targeted a facility at Ust-Luga port, which is the largest port in the Baltic Sea region and Russia’s second-largest port.
