Education Bill Passed by Parliamentary Committee

Kathmandu — The School Education Bill 2080 (2023) has been passed by the parliamentary committee.

On Thursday, a meeting of the Education, Science, and Technology Committee under the House of Representatives endorsed the bill. The endorsed bill will now be presented in the upcoming session of Parliament.

Previously, the bill could not be passed due to objections raised by stakeholders regarding certain provisions. Meanwhile, private school operators have also launched a protest starting today against some of the provisions included in the bill.
