Kathmandu: On the first trading day of the week, the NEPSE index rose by 16.67 points, closing at 2,503.85 points. Previously, the index had declined for three consecutive trading days.
Last Thursday, the NEPSE had fallen by 18.40 points, closing at 2,487.17 points. On that day, a total of 323 stocks were traded, with a total turnover of NPR 279,118,900 across 6,199,900 shares. In comparison, the previous trading day recorded a turnover of NPR 327,540,000 across 7,643,000 shares, indicating a decline in trading activity today.
Today, the Sensitive Index increased by 2.13 points, the Float Index rose by 0.98 points, and the Sensitive Float Index gained 0.72 points.
Shares of Atmanirbhar Laghubitta saw a positive circuit breaker hit, with the stock price rising by NPR 609.90 per share to close at NPR 6,710. Similarly, shares of Himalayan Power Partner Limited and Bhagwati Hydro also triggered positive circuit breakers. Conversely, Himalayan 80–20 shares saw the largest drop of 6.10%, trading at NPR 10 per share.
The most actively traded shares today were Nepal Reinsurance, Himalayan Distillery, and Union Hydro.
