Kathmandu — In a dramatic escalation of protest actions, youths have vandalized and set fire to the residence of Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba.
On Tuesday, demonstrators staged a fiery protest in front of his Budhanilkantha residence, smashing property and igniting fires on-site.
The unrest follows a deadly turn in Gen Z protests in Kathmandu: after 19 people lost their lives in demonstrations at New Baneshwor and Maiti Ghar, the movement intensified signifying a new wave of anger and confrontation.
