Kathmandu — An arson attack has been reported at Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s residence in Balkot, Bhaktapur.
According to reports, police opened fire on demonstrators who had attempted to attack the Prime Minister’s residence. Following the firing, the enraged crowd set the property ablaze.
Three protesters were injured by police gunfire and were taken to hospital for treatment.
Thick plumes of smoke were seen rising from Oli’s Balkot residence after the fire, and the situation there has reportedly gone out of control.
