KATHMANDU - The NADA Auto Show 2025 has roared to life at Bhrikuti Mandap, Kathmandu, transforming the capital into a hub of horsepower, innovation, and electric ambition. Organized by the NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal, the weeklong event (August 19 to 25) is showcasing a record number of vehicle launches, with a strong emphasis on electric mobility, affordability, and advanced technology.

New Launches Steal the Spotlight

This year’s show is not just about shiny exteriors. It’s about redefining Nepal’s automotive future. Here are the most talked-about unveilings, complete with specs and pricing.

BYD Atto 2
Cimex Inc. unveiled the BYD Atto 2, a compact electric SUV built on BYD’s e-platform 3.0. It features a 100 kW motor delivering 290 Nm of torque, a 45.1 kWh Blade Battery offering up to 345 km of range, and supports both 7 kW AC and 82 kW DC fast charging. The cabin includes a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen, ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Safety features include six airbags, Level 2 ADAS, and a 360-degree camera.

Suzuki eVitara
Previewed by CG Motocorp, the eVitara is Suzuki’s first electric SUV, co-developed with Toyota. It offers two battery options—49 kWh and 61.1 kWh—with ranges up to 500 km. The motor delivers up to 172 hp, and the vehicle supports 70 kW DC fast charging. Inside, it boasts a 10.25-inch infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, and seven airbags.

Geely Galaxy E5
Launched by LRR Group, this sleek electric crossover comes with a 60.22 kWh LFP battery and a 160 kW motor producing 218 PS and 320 Nm of torque. It offers a range of 530 km and features a 15.4-inch touchscreen, 10.2-inch digital cluster, and Flyme Auto OS.

BYD Seagull (Atto 1)
Also introduced by Cimex Inc., this budget-friendly hatchback comes in two variants. The Dynamic model has a 30.08 kWh battery with 230 km range, while the Premium offers 38.88 kWh and 300 km range. Both support fast charging and feature a 12.8-inch touchscreen and rear camera.

Aion UT Hatchback
CG Motors launched this premium hatchback with two battery options—34.9 kWh and 44.1 kWh—offering ranges of 330 km and 420 km respectively. It features a 100 kW motor, panoramic sunroof, 14.6-inch touchscreen, and Level 2 ADAS.
Estimated Price: NPR 30 to 41 lakhs



Changan Lumin Mini Car
Touted as the most affordable EV at the show, the Lumin features a 28.08 kWh battery with a 301 km range, 35 kW motor, and a 10.25-inch infotainment system.

JY Air Electric Sedan
Juneyao Auto made its Nepal debut with the JY Air sedan. The Lite variant has a 51 kWh battery and 355 km range, while the Ultra offers 64 kWh and 440 km. Both feature panoramic sunroofs, 15.6-inch touchscreens, and Level 2 ADAS.

Geely EX5 Electric SUV
Also launched by LRR Motors, the EX5 features a 60.22 kWh battery, 160 kW motor, and ranges of 430 km (Pro) and 425 km (Max). It includes a 15.4-inch touchscreen, 13.8-inch HUD, and ADAS safety suite.

Nammi 06 Electric Crossover (Nammi Vigo)
Following the success of the Nammi 01, this new crossover comes in two variants with a modern design and urban appeal.

Deepal S05 SUV
MAW Vriddhi introduced this Thai-made SUV as a budget-friendly sibling to the Deepal S07. While pricing is yet to be confirmed, it is expected to be positioned below NPR 55 lakhs.
