The central bank is using this 35-day instrument to absorb excess liquidity from the market. In recent weeks, NRB has been regularly withdrawing funds from the market every Sunday and Wednesday.

According to NRB, bidding will open today from 3 PM via the online bidding system.

Interested banks and financial institutions can submit bids starting from a minimum of Rs 100 million, with each additional bid increment of Rs 50 million. Unfulfilled portions of bids will not be considered. Applications can be submitted up to the total announced amount.

The principal and interest repayment date is set for Bhadra 25 (September 10, 2025).

Banks and financial institutions licensed by NRB under categories A, B, and C are eligible to participate in the deposit collection.
